My first contact with Peter van den Begin dates back to my first short film, 'Verbrande aarde'. Our successful collaboration was resumed twice, on my two other shorts, 'Wooww' and 'Maria'. It was only logical for me to ask him to act in my first full-length film. I always enjoy working with Peter because I believe that he is practically without a rival in his generation. In 'Someone Else's Happiness', he plays the part of Mark, which, in my opinion, is one of the most touching roles in the film.
